Each year, the Fairfax Chamber hosts a Political Debate. In 2012,
the Chamber in partnership with NBC4, hosted candidates for one of
Virginia's United States Senate seats - Republican Candidate
George Allen and Democratic Candidate Tim Kaine - as they went head-to-head on the issues that matter most.

Highly respected journalist and political commentator David Gregory
of NBC’s Meet the Press moderated the debate, which focused on
the economy and other critical issues facing Northern Virginia. Panelists
included Julie Carey and Aaron Gilchrist of NBC4 and Ben Pershing from
The Washington Post.

The Debate aired live on NBC4 and reaired the following Sunday after Meet The Press’ Press Pass program.
