NOVABizPAC

clientuploads/PACLogo-sm.jpgThe Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce established
the Northern Virginia Business Political Action
Committee (NOVABizPAC) in 2002 to support
Northern Virginia legislators and other key leaders
statewide who promote a favorable business climate and quality of life in Virginia in line with the annual Fairfax Chamber policy agenda.  NOVABizPAC ignores party affiliation to create a healthy debate among its trustees, participants and stakeholders that focuses on the issues important to our business community.

In 2003, The Washington Post named the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, “Northern Virginia’s most powerful business group,” in an article related to endorsements made by the Chamber’s Political Action Committee, NOVABizPAC.  In fact, business groups throughout Northern Virginia rely on the strength of NOVABizPAC for representing their interests in Richmond.  Since the PAC’s inception, trustees have made over $200,000 in contributions to local and statewide candidates and incumbents seeking office.  Those contributions have moved the PAC’s mission forward in fostering and encouraging the highest quality public sector leadership by helping to elect candidates who share the Chamber’s vision for our community.  Governor Bob McDonnell regularly credits NOVABizPAC’s endorsement for helping him win Fairfax County in the general election.

The successes of NOVABizPAC are not possible without effective participation of the Northern Virginia business community in the political process and the financial support of our members.  Member contributions help NOVABizPAC to increase its support of worthy candidates and help the Chamber increase its overall stature in the policy and legislative process.
