Corporate social responsibility is a top objective for businesses in Northern Virginia, and they support the community in unlimited ways. The Chamber facilitates opportunities for member philanthropy and community service throughout the year – such as a Jeans Day, which in 2011 raised nearly $15,000 in one day to end homelessness in our community. The Chamber also recognizes Northern Virginia businesses for their commitment to the community at the Outstanding Corporate Citizenship Awards and other time during the year, such as International Corporate Philanthropy Day. Additionally, the Chamber manages two community foundations: |
| Valor Scholarship Fund |

In 2012, the Fund will host the 34th Annual Valor Awards, as well as a Reception & Auction, to continue to raise funds to support our community’s first responders. Donations are accepted online at www.supportvalor.org. |
