The Nominations period for 2013 is open from March 11 - June 14. All applications must be completed and submitted by COB on June 14 to be considered. 

CRITERIA

Contractor of the Year applicants must meet ONE of the following criteria:

  • Be headquartered in the Greater Washington, D.C. region defined as South of Baltimore,
    North of Richmond, from the Chesapeake to the Shenandoah;
  • Have more than 50 percent of employees in the Greater Washington, D.C. region; or
  • Have at least 1,000 or more employees in the Greater Washington, D.C. region

Executive of the Year applicants must also meet the following criteria:

  • Be a C-level executive of a government contracting company and must reside in the Greater Washington, D.C. region.


AWARD CATEGORIES

Contractor of the Year

Presented to a Greater Washington-area government contractor for distinguished financial and operational accomplishments and for outstanding contributions to its employees, the government contracting industry and the U.S. Government in the past year. Four awards will be presented in this category, stratified by gross annual revenue using the most recent fiscal year-end revenues:

  • Contractor of the Year (less than $25 million)
  • Contractor of the Year ($25 million to $75 million)
  • Contractor of the Year ($75 million to $300 million)
  • Contractor of the Year (greater than $300 million)

Executive of the Year

Presented to a Greater Washington-area government contracting executive who is recognized for making outstanding contributions to his/her company, the community and the government contracting industry during the past year. Three awards will be presented in this category, stratified by gross annual revenue using the most recent fiscal year-end revenues:

  • Executive of the Year (less than $75 million)
  • Executive of the Year ($75 to $300 million)
  • Executive of the Year (greater than $300 million)

Public Sector Partner the Year

Presented to a Federal government procurement professional who has demonstrated unusual leadership and vision in building a spirit of partnership with the private sector and/or leading change in the procurement community.
