







| Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce hosts Inaugural, "Recognition of Excellence in Innovation" Award |

Vienna (VA) -- Today, the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce hosted the first-ever, "Recognition of Excellence in Innovation" Award reception. Under Secretary of Commerce for Technology Robert Cresanti presented the award to ODIN Technologies, for their innovation in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology.
The "Excellence in Innovation Award" recognizes local and regional innovators from throughout the United States who have introduced a new product, service or manufacturing process into the market during the last 12 months. ODIN technologies is a globally recognized leader in the physics of RFID, a wireless tracking technology that can provide up to the second information on the status of inventory, assets and other objects.
"Fairfax County is home to more than 4,000 technology companies, making us one of the leading technology hubs in the United States," said Gary Nakamoto, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Base Technologies. "The Chamber is thrilled to see the Technology Administration recognize ODIN Technologies as one of the Nation's premier companies for the development of RFID technology."
The Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce submitted numerous companies for the Technology Administration's consideration. As Northern Virginia's premier business organization, The Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce has protected and promoted the interests of businesses since 1925.
"The Chamber is proud to help recognize a Northern Virginia technology company. "It is important for the Commonwealth and its citizens to identify exceptional companies, like ODIN, that make Virginia's business community one of the strongest economies in the country," Nakamoto concluded.
