NEW Fairfax Chamber

Building on the successes of 85 years, the Fairfax Chamber remains committed to helping Virginia's economy grow and prosper by providing leading-edge advocacy on behalf of the Northern Virginia business community. Long known as The Voice of Business in Northern Virginia, the Fairfax Chamber has developed a widely respected political and legislative advocacy program at the local, state and federal levels. In fact, the Chamber has a reputation as one of the strongest business advocacy organizations in the Commonwealth.

Ensuring that Northern Virginia has a voice in the legislative process, the Chamber established the Northern Virginia Business Political Action Committee (NOVABizPAC) in 2002 to support Virginia legislators and policymakers who promote a favorable business climate and a high quality of life in Virginia. As the Fairfax Chamber’s legislative agenda as their guide, NOVABizPAC Trustees spend considerable time interviewing and evaluating candidates for office, educating candidates about Northern Virginia's business community and its policy priorities, and making decisions about which candidates to endorse and support financially, in Northern Virginia and also across the state.

NOVABizPAC is a key benefit of Chamber membership. It allows the region’s business community to aggregate financial resources to support candidates to the Board of Supervisor, the Virginia General Assembly and candidates for statewide office who champion issues of importance to our community.

NOVABizPAC is administered by a Board of Trustees composed of top executives and government affairs professionals from Chamber member companies. The success of NOVABizPAC is not possible without the effective participation of the Northern Virginia business community in the political process and the financial support of our members. Member contributions help NOVABizPAC’s ability to increase its support of worthy candidates and help the Chamber increase its overall stature in the policy and legislative process.
